Bottles in the gutter and rain-webbed windows
And eyes that won't close.
Tens of hundreds of nights with rain and sirens
And one flat pillow
And eyes that won't close.
Coffee on 2pm mornings, so near peace
And night comes on slow
And eyes won't stay closed
Brandy in the cold-
Warm in the raw way
Missing something feels almost holy sometimes.
Love undefined buried years behind young eyes
That still refuse to close.

I found a wish
under sunrise slow over steaming rooftops,
in coffee the color of everything you:
Be my stretch of horizon.
lie before me,
between me
and the world.
Break the day over your bones
and pour it into my
eyes.
I don't know if anyone even still reads these, but on the off chance one of you does, I'm gonna go ahead and put my website here:
Night Half Open
All my new (better?) stuff is there. Everyone who takes a look is appreciated. :)
It's winter break, so I'm in the process of cleaning out this computer & trying to be somewhat productive. I'm probably going to edit my writing stuff and probably update them on here. I need to get my work photographed better, especially my newer stuff.
I might make a tumblr for my art shit, and once the semester starts a website.
Entering a juried show in January with 2 of my pieces. We'll see how that goes.
